If I leave the window open overnight, and it gets really cold in the room, I usually wake up with a sore throat. I think it really depends on how cold it gets in the room. Sleeping in front of window that's letting in 40 degree air, when the rest of the room is at 65 degrees or warmer can't be good for you.

I seem to think the opposite. With the windows closed you don't get a breeze to blow away all those nasty germs which may accumulate.
