I do. I try to do anything I can to hang out with other people, sitting alone kinda sucks

Yup, I just moved into a studio and it is downright depressing when I'm there by myself. It wouldn't be so bad if I had internet access, but I don't get that until Thursday. I'm a very social person and am used to living in a suite of 6 people so this living on my own thing is weird. Luckily my girlfriend lives a mile down the road so I go over there a lot.

That would drive me up the freakin' wall. I'd probably never be home until at least you got internet access or a roommate. I'd bring my laptop to the nearest internet cafe ;)

I have my guitar and a mini-amp so I play that a lot, but I don't have a laptop and my desktop weighs 70 pounds. I'm only there in between classes or to sleep; otherwise I'm with my girlfriend or out with the XC team.

Oddly, I'm getting in a depressed mood now that I'm going back to college. Just really not looking forward to it. The crowds, the work, the living conditions....just not fun for me. If I can be left entirely alone, then I'm fine. I've finally transitioned from asocial to antisocial.

I'm moving into a new place, 1 bedroom apartment. I've never lived alone (unless I count the 4 weeks at summer school in college). I think it'll be exciting. I don't know if I like living alone actually, which is what I'm going to find out. I'm 26 now if that matters.

I'm the type of person that can barely eat mcdonalds alone so this will be interesting.

:music:Hello darkness, my old friend,
Ive come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of
A neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one deared
Disturb the sound of silence.

Fools said i,you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the signs said, the words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whisperd in the sounds of silence.:brokenheart:

Cheers,
Aquaman

I'm pretty independent so spending time by myself is never an issue. I enjoy it actually; it's like a break from crazy lifestyle I live with my roommates/friends/peers.

I feel that way when my two cats are at the vet for the day. Cats provide just enough movement and excitement so it doesn't feel like I'm alone.

Well, i'm in the process of moving in with two lady-friends of mine...but I'm considering being a Residence Advisor for my last year...living in residence, taking care of the freshmen. Could be fun.

If you get lonely by yourself, consider taking up a hobby. Or get a gym membership. Not only do you keep youself occupied but you also get in shape.

It happens....

Surround yourself with good friends or read a book and let the feeling mellow, then go out the next day and surround yourself with your friends. :)
