I agree with you. These commercials imply that diamonds have intrinsic value that equates to love, when in reality diamonds are simply shiny, hard, clear, sparkly rocks.

Jewelry would never "get me" and particularly not diamonds. Girls who go for diamonds lack brains. 😛 If you want to sort the wheat from the chaff, guys, go for the girls who want REAL stones (sapphires, etc.) 😉
