Wait until you get some nice 1080P content like Bluray movies. It's that much better.

Yeah, who's heard of Westinghouse? They only, you know, invented alternating current power transmission. Who uses THAT? Besides, they've only been around since 1886.

(Though the Westinghouse that makes TVs is apparently some Taiwan company that just licenses the name "Westinghouse", so it's not really them, but still  at "never heard of that company".)

Sorry to burst your bubble but Westinghouse didn't invent AC, Tesla sold his patent to him.
Oh, the rare double-pwn :(

It's hard to believe, but I have to admit that bluray does actually look quite nice on a clear screen. When I watch very sharp HD it's impressive but I still don't feel that "I'm there". Bluray appears to bring me quite close to that, like it's an actual window to what is going on. Unfortunately, I won't have it for a long while yet, though.

I use a 26" 720p Samsung for my Xbox. For this console generation, 1080p seems pretty useless since the games are all upscaled from 720p anyway.

However, the input lag is quite noticeable on the TV and is annoying especially during time sensitive games like Halo 3 or Rock Band.

I play on a 1080P Westinghouse LCD and a 720P Panasonic Plasma. Plasma looks much better, colors are richer and blacks are actually black.

I would think that gaming on an LCD or plasma and running the game at the TV's native resolution and enabling "game mode" or whatever should result in almost no lag.

I play HD remix on my Sony SXRD and I haven't noticed any lag.

I use my Panasonic 42" Plasma for console & PC gaming. I also use it as a PC monitor. 2007 & 2008 Panasonic Plasma models are great. No burn in due to pixel shift and IR fades quickly. Draw back to Plasmas are the weight and power consumption compared to LCD screens though.

Plasma. TH42PX70. Great display for gaming with vivid colours/blacks and fast response time.

Power consumption is greatest on all white displays and on my (240v UK panel) display it can peak at ~300+ watts.

And I game on a Dell 2709W LCD.

But I'm curious about the new 120Hz LCDs, anyone have any comments on those?

I have an old Panasonic 42" plasma that I use for console gaming. I was using a Sharp 36" LCD, but that got moved into another room. The plasma has better picture, imho.
