Most of my other messaging is done on Usenet newsgroups - one or two Internet-related ones, a couple of general discussion groups that are internal to my ISP, and an active group of folks that share my interests in certain weekend activities.

None of them are "moderated" in the traditional sense, but all have plenty of members that are quite astute in tracking down (and if necessary, disposing of) cretins who troll or flame w/o cause. And we have fun.
