I took a day off for a morning interview in person but had to head back to work for something urgent today, I also had a phone interview scheduled for 3:30pm. so i went back to the office (half day fridays so everyone is gone at 1pm) at 3 and did what I had to do, I didn't want to do the phone interview through my cell while I'm driving home, so I stayed. The lady called and I told her will call back on a land line. I didn't want to call from my cube, so I went into my boss's office, shut the door and called her back... lol

i just find it ironic... :p

Oh, that's it? I caught that, just thought there'd be more.

At first glance I assumed he said he took the day off, but went to the office because he wanted to make a call. That would have been ironic.

actually i did think about that. i dont have a land line at home (cell phone can do all!) so that problem i had to fix pretty much served both purposes ;)

get a better cell if it can't provide a great signal strength to your city from a good location.

I will agree in a major building signal strength has problems especially in elevators and vaults.

however, head downtown, have a beer in a private place and chat up the future digs.

I'd never interview at work...tacky.

i use verizon. which is already the best service in nyc area.
i didnt want to give a bad impression and talk on a cell. i wanted it to be a quiet environment without the risk of a disconnected call

:confused::beer: talking on a cell is a bad impression? When i am in a normal environment, my cell is perfect....I am not going to be driving or in an elevator on an interview. Those with inferior phones and service have a lot of issues.
