Do you find the term "wigger" offensive?

I got banned from a CS server for having the name "Wigger Killer."

I also called people "wigger" and ranted on (to no one) about how much I dislike them.

I am white BTW and I never use the "n" word. Only "wigger."

Do you consider it offensive, a racial slur, or profanity?

Edit: For those who don't know, a "wigger" is a white person who acts black.

Anything can be offensive depending on its context and intention.

I don't find it offensive because I'm not one.

No honestly I don't. I don't find it offensive. I think it's a good way to describe ignorant white people who pretend to be someone they're not.

I mean, if you're black, and you're into "black things," that's cool. But if you're white and try to act all "afrocentric," you deserve to be insulted.

What if you are white, and you're genuinely into "black things" i.e. not "acting afroentric"
Is there something wrong with this?

And another question... what is a "black thing" and what makes it a "black thing"

Is rap a "black thing" because most rappers are black?? Your entire post and subsequent replies are ridiculous.. and borderline racist

I find the word humorous. It's not as much of a straight insult, as it is label you put on yourself for trying to be something you're not. Insulting someone because they are who they are is something I don't care for, but when that person is obviously trying too hard to copy an image, that's on them.

I mean come on, if you're white, and you wear FUBU and listen to rap, that's just retarded.

I don't think white people should listen to gangster rap (there are some rappers that whites can listen to, but not others). And white people have no business wearing FUBU or Sean John or any other "rap clothing."

I am Indian, and we celebrate Thanksgiving and will eat Turkey dinner this Thursday. Does that mean I am trying to act "white?" Or when I wear Timberland boots, am I trying to act "black?" Should I stick to watching cricket and only eat curry while wearing open shoe sandals so I can be "Indian" and not act like someone I am not?

I am confused, so are black people allowed to "act white" in your book? Can whites "act asian?"

I think you need to worry less about how other people act than your own issues.

You are using the "n" word, in a sense, by using the term wigger. All you're doing is changing the first letter and using it in the same context as a racial slur.

What??? Someone back me up here please. So, by your most recent post, black people should only listen to rap? And white people, should listen to, what, rock?

What about black people that listen to classical music? What are they classified as?

I would presume that most rappers wouldn't have many sales if not for their white listeners.

"rap clothing" LOL you are too much JLG

Thanksgiving isn't a "white" holiday, it's a holiday for everyone.

However if you examine the lyrics of most rap music, you'll find it's content deals with "black" issues and history.

It's awfully egocentric of you to assume that you know how people should live their lives.

Classical music doesn't openly target a certain audience. While rap music lyrics clearly deal with "being black" and often times use racial slurs towards whites. Even mainstream rappers like Jay Z and 50 Cent have used the word "cracker" in their lyrics. Now why would a white person listen to that?

Classical music is for everyone, not just whites. However rap is not for everyone due to the message the rappers give in their songs.

Im sorry. I didnt know that everyone else died and made you the end-all decision maker for all of the world...

Thank you for clearing that up for me. The message that I got from EVERY SINGLE RAP SONG i ever heard were clearly meant only for blacks... Dont know how I missed that...

Now, I just watched my Cowboys win and the rest of the NFC East lose.. I am leaving this thread now before it ruins my otherwise perfekt day.

I have no problem with people wearing certain labels or listening to rap music. That's all underlying, & isn't in full display for the world to see. The music developed years & years ago from many sources. Even modern rap started with Puerto Ricans, Cubans, & Blacks all around the city.

I just think it's silly for middle class Americans to dress like they're homeless, &/or just robbed a jewelry store so that they can pretend it's Halloween all year long. The baggy style, the loose laces on your sneakers, the uniform colors, that's all prison ******. Kids think that it's cool to imitate, until they end up in there.

Well, depends how to define "act white."

Most things white people do are not "white exclusive." Most white people do things that is open to everyone.

However, if a black person grew a mullet, lived in a trailer, listened to country, and drove a pick up, that would be incorrect.
