I never offer my females for anything.

Limp Appendage - LMAO

Used to be in Sales and hated to shake hands with those of Indian (from India) heritage. No offense meant but talk about Limp A. Maybe a cultural thing.

Traditionally, it is considered ill mannered for a male to initiate a handshake with a female. It is supposed to be left up to her whether or not to do so. However, since modern women have forgotten that, it no longer seems to matter to most.

If it is a business situation, I have no problem initiating the contact, but in a social situation, I still adhere to tradition.

Same with me. I'll shake a girl's hand if she offers it, but I won't offer mine first. Never heard that it was tradition, just seemed like a decent thing to do. And I only apply the same amount of pressure that the girl does.

I'll always offer my hand to a guy and shake as firmly as I can. A few guys have had monster grips that just about paralyze my hand (Marine type guys), and I've been told by some that I have a firm handshake.

nope, i don't feel weird.

i hate it when i shake guys' hands (and they think i'm so fragile) that i end up hurting them with my vigorous shake instead ;)
