From terrorism, crime, sickness, or whatever you want to fear.

Do you feel safe where you live?

Absolutely. Nothing ever happens where I live, so much so I would consider being a cop in my area because it would be free money.

Yes. My wife and I live in a nice apartment complex in a nice area. I hardly worry about our cars getting stolen, my wife being raped or pretty much anything bad happening.

Yes, I feel safe. Living in fear is a terrible thing.

I feel too safe. Brentwood, TN is a bubble, nothing bad ever happens. We've had one non-natural death in the past 4 years, 3 burglaries in the past 10 years, no murders...the biggest thing that has ever happened here was the drug bust in my neighborhood about 4 or 5 years ago. The only problem Brentwood has is a plethora of stuck up rich kids who have never been disciplined, and have no idea what the real world is like. But, yea, as long as you know how to discipline your kids, its a safe environment for them to grow up in.

Terrorists: yes

Crime: more or less. My neighborhood is nice, but you never know in a big city....sh*t can and will happen.

Sickness: yes. I figure my CDC colleagues can help me if I contract anything really nasty. :p

We have so many "wannabe thugs" here that I think it might actually do them good to experience real life. Send some gang members up here for a weekend, the losses of stuck up teens will be acceptable, so long as the rest learn how good they have it.

I don't fear any of those things.

Nothing I can do about Terrorism, so even if I was worried about it, what could I really do. Duct Tape myself into a room and
wait for it to go away.

Crime: not really. On the other hand I might have some fear if I catch myself walking down a dark alley at like 1am in a shady
section of a big city. I usually avoid those situations.

Sickness: Theres not much I can do about getting sick. I will eventually get a cold again. No point in worrying about it. Its going
to happen.

I lived off Ponce in Atlanta in the late 80s - compared to that I feel safe almost everywhere now.

Safety is an illusion. There's no danger of anything you mentioned here right now, but that can change in a heartbeat. There's not much that goes on around here, but there's always a posibility.
