Do you feel guilty and have lingering thoughts if you spend money "wastefully" ?

Do you suffer some sort of buyer's remorse on small to mid-sized purchases?
(the term is associated with buying a home but I think its used more and more often to describe a general feeling)

I usually think things through but sometimes I'll blow a few hundred $$$ on something completely useless that I'll never need or take advantage of. I won't even sell it because I'll doubly feel like sh!t simply because you lose money selling used goods (eBay or wherever). Case in point: my Garmin GPS (used only a couple times), a used laptop and so on.

Sometimes I'll think about things even months afterwards. I don't think about it constantly but once I recall it I usually give myself a mental azz-kicking 😉 I try to tell myself it is just money but it is hard when you think "I could have had.... 1 x instead, 3 y, or 5 z" where x y or z are new computer parts/books/whatever.

Often, even on the smallest things. So much that I hardly spend money at all (for now, of course--no expenses to worry about for myself, really).

I wouldn't say never, but I usually research the fvck out of what Im buying and I usually have the patience to get a good deal on it. So I never say, "I wish I had shopped around, or gotten something else, etc"

Sometimes. I can't really afford to spend my money on the things I would like to have. But every once and awhile it is good to treat yourself. I mean after all you work hard for your money.

not very often...if I have the impulse to buy it, so be it...I rarely buy something that I will never use or can't afford. that's just poor judgement.

I generally research everything I buy, so no.

Only thing I regretted spending money on was my ex-gf. Fvcking gold digger!

If I buy something I try to sell some things on eBay to balance it out. Last week I bought a new guitar and a $200 microphone, so this week I sold one of my guitars and put 2 of my other mics on the auction block.

I've been GAS'ing (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) for a new video card, but that will probably have to wait until after I take the bar. 🙂
