All of my friends are either out of town or busy tonight and my sort of girlfriend is working until 1am. I have nothing to do and feel pretty lame.

Sure i'm just whining but do you guys feel like that too? I mean, if it was like thursday it would be no big deal, but sitting at home playing video games by myself on friday feels weak-sauce.

My gf and I are sick and still burnt out from Mardi Gras. We'll be sitting on the couch all weekend playing video games as well. The most I think I'm going to do is cook some braised lamb shanks on sunday.

very rarely do we do "stuff" anymore on Friday nights. On occasion, we will go to dinner, then come home, open a bottle of wine or make some drinks and watch Discovery Channel and he will surf the web or play Wii.
It is ok though. We do not feel pathetic.

But we are the same way. Restuarants are often so busy on Friday nights that we don't even bother. It is nice to relax at home.

Friday is usually moive/game night.

Saturday is a much better party night IMO.

Exactly! If I could be with a person (a nice lady friend perhaps) then I'd feel a lot better...it would be great to like just pop in a movie or have a fire or cook dinner or something. But the we is key

I couldnt care less doing dick all on a Friday... its just another day of the week for me. You grow out of thinking doing something on a Friday is necessary. I am usually tired from the week, and half the time, I just stay home.
