Do you ever watch COPS? And if you do, do you cheer for the cops or the bad boys?

Do you watch COPS as your guilty pleasure?

  • NO, I never watch it.

  • YES, I watch it, but would never admit to it publicly for fear it might incriminate me.

  • YES, I watch it and root for the cops.

  • YES, I watch it and root for the bad boys.

  • I have the right to remain silent.

Well, do you watch it? Because you know you do, the question is, will you admit to watching it?

I'm watching it right now, and they are arresting bad boys and girls right and left.

Bad boys, bad boys, watcha gonna do, watcha gonna do when they come for you?

I'll watch it, when there's nothing else on. Should have heeded the warning, when my ex was calling "entrapment" on every other case.

I like it now, although I used to be indifferent. One reason why. There was a young guy that got pulled over for hot rodding his car. The cop was going to let him go because the guy was being friendly and seemed fine.

When the cop came to return his license the guys attitude was changed and he got a bad attitude with the cop. You could then tell he was drunk. He got a dui. If he would have kept his mouth shut he would have been let go with a warning.

It looks like COPS will only be on Spike now going forward. No more fox.

I watch it.

Pro-tip: there is no point in lying on your stomach on the ground, the cops will still body slam you, might as well just make them tackle you.

Its often humorous because the cops know they will end up on tv so they either overact their badass-selfs or try to counsel the creatins they are arresting.

Yeah i watch it. I love the show!

Sometimes i root for the "bad" guy. I have seen clips where the cop was wrong. He called the cops because his gf was assaulting him. teh cops talk to him outside (his face is scratched up) teh neighbors come over and say they seen her attack him and he did NOTHING.

they go inside and talk to her. her face is fine but she has marks on her throat. She said he tried to choke her. They asked how she brought her hands up to her throat and the marks matched perfectly to her hands.

so guess who they took to jail? the guy! who had witness's say eh never touched her and cuts and scratches all over his face.

I was like WTF you have to be kidding!

but if you pay attention 90% of the time in domestic violence cases they take the man NO MATTER WHAT. even when he is the victim.

Also as brigindler said. Even if you are spread eagle on the ground they are still going to come and jump on you with knees. WTF. That show is the main reason i don't trust cops anymore.

The funniest though was cops pulled over a guy. the cop said he smelled weed the kid said nope none in the car. teh cop laughed and the camera zoomed in on the guy. he had a pot cig behind his ear!

COPS is a giant circle jerk for the police force.

-They never show the crook escape
-They never show anyone getting shot
-They never how police brutality

There are better cop reality shows out there.

I haven't watched that show in probably 10 years or possibly even longer.

Why would you root for the bad guys? They NEVER win.

Depends on the original issue. Most of the people they show on those shows are assholes who deserve what they get.

Never seen anyone on these shows just minding their own business and taking a stand against illegal laws, the only time Ill cheer the "bad" guy.

My philosophy is live and let live and fuck anyone who puts their hands on someone else's cookie jar.

I watch it now if there is nothing else on and I see it in the guide when surfing. There are a surprising amount of idiots in this world.

I saw an episode many, many years ago where they were called to a domestic disturbance. A neighbor had called in about the couple next door.

The cops knock on the door and a black guy comes to the door and just cracks it open but there's something not right about the way he looks but at that point neither the viewers or the cops can figure out what's different. When asked what's going on he keeps telling the cops nothing but it's obvious that something is going on. The cops aren't letting that slide.

He eventually lets the cops in and we find that he and his wife had been arguing in the kitchen and a food fight ensued. The guy was covered head to toe in food and flour! The flour is stuck to all the food that he was peppered with first. At that point it all is a little cloudy in my mind but I think all of them end up laughing. The cops, the guy and his wife. It was funnier to see than to relate.

I imagine these days that one of both of them would be going to jail.

I'd watch it if they slammed corrupt bankers/CEO's up against a car or pavement and sprayed them in the face with pepper spray like they do with the people guilty of stealing $20/smoking weed etc.

Bankers and CEOs are smart enough not to be dickbags to street cops.
