No. I don't have an extra $350 to give to the courts just because I was in a hurry. I can wait it out. Doesn't bother me at all.

You realize it's only illegal to pass on the right when there's only 1 lane per direction, right?

Illegal or not, isn't it dangerous? Isn't that why the left is a PASSING lane and not the right? I think its illegal on the Autobahn. Although, I don't usually pass on the right, I usually *stay* on the far right cause it moves almost as fast as the left and more smoothly too because the few guys that want to do 100 or more usually try that in the left. It's the middle that moves at the speed limit or lower most of the time. Middle is for people not in a hurry, left is a warzone, and right is where its at :)

In Texas you can pass on the shoulder if a car is turning left from a 2 way street :p

Granted you can't just fly past them going 50, but still

I try to avoid doing it, but I do if the person is stupid and can't figure out that I'm going faster than they are. I'm not obnoxious or anything about it, though.

Yep, and if I can't get by in the right hand lane I will take it to the turn lane, or the right of way. (Joking) I will pass on the right if I need to.

Illegal or not, isn't it dangerous?

Huh? How so? If Im on a 6 six highway and the left is clogged by grandma and the person is front of me in the middle is just a tad too slow, how is passing them on the right dangerous? Is the same as passing on the left, just the opposite side.

Only when I have to or the person in front is too stupid. I was on a highway(not freeway, but highway with signals.. whatever it's called). The time was 3AM. There is two lanes in each direction with speed limit at 45. This moron stayed in the left lane doing 30 despite flashing him a few times and staring at him through the mirror, so I passed him on the right and sprayed him some washer fluid :)

Passing on the right is par for the course here in Georgia. Heck, if you go 55 in the far-right lane on the interstate, they'll pass you on the shoulder!

all the time. ppl in cali dont seem to get the hint. and most of the time when traveling from san diego to orange county (about 100 miles), the right most lane is the fastest. go figure.

Yeah, if they are obviously going to slow (like the speed limit or under) and the left lane is blocked or somehow i can't really get in there... i'll just ease on by them in the right lane. They usually get the hint and take the right lane after I pass so they don't obstruct traffic.

Drivers in South Florida dont seem to get the hint. They stay in the lane no matter how many people pass em.

isn't florida home to a bunch of old people?

South Florida is. Oh and jerboy - I hope you were kidding about spraying him with washer fluid. If some punk did that to me I would make sure they got a good look at the machete I keep under my seat.
