Do you ever not hit "post"?

I found myself figuring "people are going to take this the wrong way" or "it's just not going to contribute to the thread" pretty often lately, and I end up closing a tab on a response without typing it. Does anyone else do the same? How often?

I apologize if this is a repost. Search yielded nothing.

Yes, plenty of times. I would probably have 1000 more posts than I currently do if I submitted everything I typed. 😕

I'm such a slow typer I'll usually hit refresh and find someone has already made my point.

Or, when I'm in an altered state of consciousness.

Yeah, I guess there's a sense of irony for every reply that DOESN'T appear in this thread, haha.

(or is there irony in me creating this thread at all? 😛)

i do that a lot in P&N. Sometimes I read it wrong, sometimes i wasn't sure about what i was saying, or sometimes someone beat me to it already.

I do it a lot... Sometimes after I post I look at what I wrote and ask myself if any good will come of it. My opinions are not the same as a lot of people's on here, particularly when it comes to ethics. Sometimes I post hoping people will understand my point of view, sometimes I don't even bother.

Yeah.. I do it occasionally. Sometimes my point has already been made, or I can't articulate what I'm trying to say, so I can it.

yeah all the time. in fact i had decided to not post this but changed my mind. it's often because i feel the post doesn't add anything, isn't gonna be read, is studid or something like that

Pretty often. Usually if I have typed my response when I was angry or if I feel that no one will care about my opinion.
