Do you ever not hit "post"?

I found myself figuring "people are going to take this the wrong way" or "it's just not going to contribute to the thread" pretty often lately, and I end up closing a tab on a response without typing it. Does anyone else do the same? How often?

i'd say maybe 1 out of 10 things I type, I end up saying "nah, nm" and don't hit post

Yes, plenty of times. I would probably have 1000 more posts than I currently do if I submitted everything I typed.

Or, when I'm in an altered state of consciousness.

i do that a lot in P&N. Sometimes I read it wrong, sometimes i wasn't sure about what i was saying, or sometimes someone beat me to it already.

I do it a lot... Sometimes after I post I look at what I wrote and ask myself if any good will come of it. My opinions are not the same as a lot of people's on here, particularly when it comes to ethics. Sometimes I post hoping people will understand my point of view, sometimes I don't even bother.
