Because my body reacts that way? I don't know...it's like I know everyone is SUPPOSED to be silent and serious and I immediately start thinking to myself how bad it would be to laugh and that makes it impossible not to laugh. Like I never would have laughed during sex ed if the teacher hadn't said "NO LAUGHING OR YOU GO OUT INTO THE HALL!"

I have a bad habit of thinking about funny stuff when bored and trying to entertain myself. It happenes a lot at meetings, and it's lead to at least a couple of situations where someone's asked me what I'm laughing at. The last time it happened I was getting an eye exam.

No. I pesonally do not do that, but i do know a lot of folks do that out of being nervous.

Unfortunately I do... Its horrible, I have a tendency to laugh in the most inappropriate situations, because Im a very humor based person and laughing just makes you feel great no matter whats going on on your life... Good thing I am a silent laugher

You should add "Sometimes" to your poll. I had some uncontrollable laughters at time. This usually happened when my family prayed the Rosary and it was my turn to say the Mysteries (e.g. Joyful, Glorious, etc.). My parents and grandparents were royally pissed at me for laughing.

I was just in a meeting and the guy giving the presentation did something that I thought was funny. Mix that together with being in a quiet conference room with other people, and I could not wipe the grin off of my face. People, including the person presenting, starting looking at me, and it only got worse. I could not stop smiling.

You know that bragging about being so "mature" is a huge indicator of immaturity. So is talking about how low your balls are. I doubt you control your actions much better than any other average person.

im the same way. family thinks i just have no connection to family or seriousness tho. i dont really get nervous at funerals and such, so i dont think its due to that. i do hate a quiet room, mebbe thats why i do it

Not at funerals. I hate it when I am taking a piss in the bathroom where there are people next to me in the adjacent urinals and I think of something funny then I just bust out laughing.

I always do that. Or when someone tells a crappy joke, I know how bad it would be to keep laughing and somehow I burst into tears at the lamest jokes :Q
