It's like Russian Roulette and a self fulfilling prophecy. The last guy to post had the real bullet. I guess if you really want to kill the thread you say something very nasty and the mods lock the thread. Or can they just censor out your bad?

Look at it this way:

It's an honor to "kill" a thread, or it certainly can be. Just as it was said that "he who laughs last laughs best," he who writes the last post in a thread may well have written the last word, the best post, the post that was unanswerable, the post that said it all. "What can you add to that?" is the implicit response.
