Do you ever get that feeling...

I've got that right now. I've had two cups of coffee and two Pepsi's in the last 3 hours or so and I just can't seem to shake the feeling that I am really tired. I know it's not sleep, I've been getting the same amount as I always have lately...

Anyone else ever get this? Something to help maybe?

drink more water?

What does your average diet consist of?

Any change in sleep pattern such as staying up a bit later or getting up a bit earlier?

I try to drink at least two 12oz bottles of water every day at work. I usually drink Diet Pepsi or tea when otherwise. Average diet consists of slim-to-none breakfast, something out for lunch (anything from Subway to McDonalds), and a full, actual meal for dinner. Fish, steak, chicken...some actual meal that was home cooked.

As far as sleep patter, I am now staying up a bit later than I was a month ago. I'm getting up about the same time, though. I'm usually in bed by 11 to midnight, and up between 6:30am and 7:30am.

how long do you go between meals? if you eat smaller meals every 3 to 4 hours you should be able to avoid the afternoon sleepiness.

Im not a sleep expert or anything but Im willing to bet its due to staying up a bit later. I work 12-14 hour days and Ive found even a half hour to an hour make a huge diff in how I feel the next day.

Its like your body is a clock and after a few weeks of going to sleep at a certain time it sets its timer to wake you in "x" amount of time depending on your schedule. So going to sleep an hour later in theory would cause your body to try and adjust your timing making you feel more droopy in the morning hours. Im willing to bet that after a few nights you were able to stay up later without feeling as tired as you did at first?

Things that work for me are sunshine, I opened my blinds so when the sun starts shining it hits right on me and jeebus thats made a big difference to me personally. I also stopped drinking coffee a while back and it seems to have helped but thats a bit extreme so dont try that unless you reall, really need too.

You should eat well in the morning to jump start you for the day. You will be lethargic and tired if you don't eat breakfast.

Too little (or too much) food, too much caffeine, and too little sunlight will do that to you. What's your weather today? Did you tank up on carbs at lunch?

Weather is damned nice out today, actually...I went for a quick walk around the block at lunch and had an Italian cheeseburger for lunch. I'm also at the point in my day where I move on to drinking water.

Maybe you're fighting something. A couple weeks ago, I got some kind of virus that made me almost narcoleptic for 24 hours (with a fever too), I slept a good 18 hours of it, then it was gone.
