Do you ever get crap for not spending time with the relatives?

My grandmother, sister, and brother are in town and I visited with them all late afternoon and evening on Friday. I went up at around noon on Sat. and visited with my brother all afternoon then went to a football game and then out clubbing with him later on that night. I would have visited with my grandmother and sister, but they went shopping with my mother all afternoon so I did not see them. On Sunday's I watch football(I love it) so my mom just called and asked if I was coming up to go to brunch and visit today. I told her no because I'm going to be watching football and that I'll come up later on that evening. Well she got all upset saying that I wasn't spending enough time with relatives and I said I was there all afternoon yesterday to visit but they chose to go shopping and do their own thing so now today I have my own thing to do. What do you all think?

Think about this, when they are gone, will you hate yourself that you didn't spend enough time with them.

They get mad because I don't email them. I do email them, but they don't email back usually. I wish I could spend time with them, but I moved 900 miles away.
