I just think of all these shows I watched as a kid & now to think that they're dead???

It seems just yesterday they were middle-aged guys I laughed at on TV.

(morbidity alert ahead)........................

Ever feel like you're gonna be in their shoes sooner than ya' know it???

i.e. You look over your shoulder and you're all of a sudden 80 something???? Gives me the freakin' creeeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The *not really* part is your only consolation.

Take away celebrities you watched on TV & go to a close family member or a friend/peer.

You take an introspective inventory of the # of days you have left........(especially if it's someone who died an expected premature death).........and you feel that rush that takes your breath away for a second & you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it scares the sh*t outta' ya'!!!

You know how they talk about kids in the military service are "naturals" for the job because of their inherent consciousness of thinking that they're "invincible"??? (Front lines in wartime crap)

Well, I didn't think I used to think that way, but when my first child was born I DISTINCTLY remember looking at her breath her first breath and suddenly feeling like mortality just slapped me in the face.

I remember saying in my own head......."Just as sure as she is breathing her first breath and how quickly the 9 mos. came & went----------I will someday breathe my last without a doubt!!!"

Doesn't bother me as much to remember that moment now, but I remember that moment then. It was as monumental as the turn of the millennium only more personal!!

Sure do. Something about the Doctor calling you on your cell phone while tooling down the highway and explaining about the small mass in your head (i.e. brain tumor) that will definately make you feel it.
