I own so much stuff I don't even feel the least bit excited when I buy even more cool and expensive stuff. I don't even care anymore if people are impressed by it or not. I'm 26 and almost feel like I'm on a psychological morphine overdose 24/7. I practically feel nothing and am expressionless except maybe greed and when I'm hungry.

I am superficial and i base my selfworth on the things I own. The more i have the most important i feel.

I even have car parts in the attic. I could probably assembe 2-3 from just parts if I had a frame to bolt them too....I even have complete drivetrains sitting around. I won't even get into the amount of computer stuff I have as it is also obscene. I am seriosly considering downsizing on a big scale since I have 2 houses loaded to the gills with stuff. I'm pretty sure it is time to get rid of all the stuff I KNOW I will never need in the future.....it is just really hard to get rid of classic car parts that are hard to replace, even if you won't use them.

You sound like you have a lot of stuff. Want to give some of it to me?

Currently a college student AND is moving . . . boy oh boy am I ever glad I don't have a lot of things . . ..

Current things I need at my apt.

1. Karate Gi/Judo Gi/Kung Fu Uniform/Protective Gear - all fits into a big duffel bag
2. Computer - desktop, but I could do with a 12" laptop
3. Books - now this is where it gets tricky - I abosolutely, positively HATE "ebooks" or other .pdf crap like that, and I love books . . . I currently have a bookcase full of them, well, a little more ;), but it's definitely a pain in the ass . . ..

Other than that, clothes and a bed, and I'm cool - it's a different story if I was to "settle", however; but I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon (oh, say, within the next decade). ;)

edit: I'm trying to slim down my posessions after I graduate so it fits into a backpack . . . so if I can get a small laptop and decide on a few (like, 2) that I want to keep with me everywhere I go (but that's imppossible . . ..) plus some room for my kung fu gear (which isn't much, I can roll it up and carry it with one hand) - I'm good to go! (Official plan withheld for other reasons) :D

You must also have a really small penis, but huge ego to go along with it.

I don't feel like I have too much stuff. I used to be able to pack everything that I owned into a car, but now that I'm married and live in a house, I am perfectly happy with what I own. I'm not afraid to throw stuff away or sell it if it has value.

Yeah, I have way too much techie stuff and I always want more.

I wish my life was a little more simple... My grandpa, for example, is happy with a truck and a garden.

I feel like I own too much stuff, so I decided after the first of the year I am going to start getting rid of stuff. Might ebay, charity, who knows but is going.

I can't play golf for a year since I am going to have shoulder surgery next month, so all my golf stuff is going to go....working on my cd collection. Clothing, shoes! Nothing will be left behind.

Though, furnishing my new place is something I'm not looking forward to.

I was wondering why you quoted my reply yet didn't mention anything relating to it. :D

When (if) we close on the new house, I'm wondering how many trips it's going to take with the moving van completely loaded...
Just the garage stuff and swimming pool probably equals 1 trip.
