And this, folks, is why mental illness still gets little attention. Morons like this that think something causing chemical imbalances is the act of "selfishness". I'm sure every person who commits suicide is more selfish than the average person... said no doctor ever.
Well, i think what he means is that some of those people also act selfish. Everything revolves around them. But is that part of their personality or is it them trying to find a listening ear for their depression problem ?
I think that some people who are depressed suffer from Narcissism.

Sure, some of them may be acting selfishly, but it isn't because they are selfish people. It is far more likely their actions are the result of their depression.
depression is just an excuse to do whatever you want. or to not do anything at all.
