Do you enable Cleartype?

It smooths the fonts, but I find it gives a weird color effect (fringes of the letters have faint red, green, blue colors). I think I prefer it turned off.

i use an LCD, and prefer the crispness of the fonts... using a smooth font still looks smooth however (such as Arial or Tahoma.. both look smooth even without cleartype)

if i wasn't clear enough.. No, i do not use cleartype on my LCD ;)

Yes & no ... On my primary PC I'm using a 21 inch shadow mask NEC CRT & its disabled because it looks better that way

On my 1st backup PC I'm using a Viewsonic 19 inch Trinitron CRT & its enabled for the same reason.

On my 2ed backup PC I'm running Win2k & as far as I know Clear-type isn't an option.
