Do you eat your food according to the specified serving sizes?

Just started using Fitday to track what I eat, and I finally realized how small regular serving sizes are! I've tried it for the last few days and it's actually kind of nice, I don't feel as full so I don't get bloated... unfortunately I also have to eat more often. Hmmm.

yeah..some serving sizes are ridiculously small. Like breakfast cereal...who eats a 1/2 cup of cereal?

I hate serving sizes, like putting 2 servings on a 20oz soda. I am so sure you are gonna share a 20oz with your buddy

Post Shredded Wheat Spoon Size says one cup, and even that's not very much. 🙁

<--- just finished a bowl, 1 cup cereal and 1 cup milk.

Actually, if you look at how much liquid there is, you could easily have half and save the rest for later in the day.

People were not meant to eat large meals. People were meant to 'graze'. The body can't process large meals as efficiently as it can 5 or so small meals in a day, so eating multiple portions of anything is not good. This is why people gain weight.

The reason people in America are so damn fat is because people eat so much crap in one sitting.

I've been eating only 2 big meals/day for most of my life. over 50% of my meals are carbs (rice/bread). I'm not fat/overweight.

As far as serving sizes, I don't even read the nutrition label most of the time when I eat. I just eat until I'm full.

Or things like Hillshire Farms sausage. Serving is 2 oz. REALLY!

not even close to true. good try though.

Why, if I only ate the suggested serving size, I might get down to my ideal weight! 😉

Remember that a lot of companies choose a size for the "suggested serving" that keeps the per-serving data from looking too scary regarding fat, calories, etc. I bet that's the deal with the Hillshire Farms sausage.
