Do you eat while driving?

I was doing my bank stuff on Friday and I saw a guy swerving in his lane quite a bit. As I passed him, I saw the reason for the weaving......HE HAD A PLATE OF FOOD AND A FORK, that hew was eating while driving.

Now I will admit to munching on a hamburger or chips or something while driving, but I try to leave food that requires a plate and utensils at home.

I mean really....a plate of food?
 
Not very often, no. For the same reason I very seldom talk on the phone while driving. It's a bit difficult to drive a car with a manual transmission and eat or hold the phone to my ear. When I do eat, it's stuff like a sandwich that I can set down on my seat when I need to do something other than drive in a straight line. For the most part, no, I don't eat while driving, though.
 
LOL. A bottle of water at most for me.

On a related note, our local news had a survey and 12% of the people admitted to reading (as in a novel) while driving. These people should be shot.
 
Yes I've done it. I've had a wendy's salad in my left and fork in my right using a manual transmission. It's not easy but it can be done. I still curse out people on cellphones and I'll admit that I am not particularly responsive while chowing down on a salad but it's an infrequent occurance.
 
I eat and talk on the phone while driving my stick. I think a phone is safer with a manual than an auto because you have to stop talking to shift... unless you have some hands free stuff.
 
yeah. pretty much every day on my way home from skool i pick up some mackey d's and eat a couple of burgers and about half my fries on the way home.
 
you could eat and drive with your hands, just use your left leg to steer 😉

note: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS.
 
Why does this remind me of that Mr. Bean episode where he's driving along and getting dressed and brushing his teeth at the same time?
 
I eat and drive all the time...but I limit myself to finger-ish foods like sandwhiches and bagels and burgers and such, not food that requires a fork and plate.

lol, i've eaten a meal with a plate/fork before while driving.. im tall so my knees are on the steering wheel easily

I've completely changed clothes while driving a few times, and I drive a stick-shift. I wouldn't recommend it though.
 
While the car is in motion I don't take my eyes off the road and keep both hands on the wheel. When I'm comming from a fast food joint with my loot I steal some fries out of the bag while I'm at a red light... but never when im driving.
