I did for the same reasons as the OP mentioned, then started using Soy Milk. That worked for a couple years, then Soy Milk and cereal began giving me the same issues as before. Now I've switched to Multi-grain Bars. They're tastier and more convenient without the cramps.
Only like a small spoonful to get a "tease" before the meal with milk. Yes, if you count licking the frosting off frosted mini-wheats and picking the marshmellows out of Lucky Charms.
