with other people in your car? i just got my G2 lisence(can drive a car alone) today, and i promised myself that if i'm going to do anything potentially dangerous(speeding, fast corners etc. there are a lot of empty backroads here which are totally straight) that i'd be the only one in the car. i wouldn't want an injury of a friend on my concience. Do you drive fast/dangerously with others in the car?

I usually drive way more conservative when there are others in my vehicle. If I do something that causes damage to myself, I can accept that, but I don't want to be resposible for other people's misery.

I still drive fast, but stay in my own lane.I'm not worried about my driving, but everyone else.

Everyone should have to drive on narrow, gravel logging roads, trying to avoid loaded logging trucks speeding the other way.
Then busy, paved roads would be a piece of cake.;)

I'm too afraid to get in accidents (been in a few as the passenger, one not-at-fault as the driver) to drive dangerously

Never - when someone is in the car with me. If I am by myself, that is another story. I drive on a road with some major hills, and if you hit the top around 80mph (that is pretty fast for an 85 Ford Bronco) I swear you can get airborn, but if someone is with me I go under the speed limit. I've been driving 8 years without an accident or ticket, so I guess I don't drive too dangerously.

I think driving while talking on the cell phone is pretty dangerous. It's not so much that you can't get two hands on the wheel, but your attention to the road would be greatly distracted if talk on the cell phone.

One of the most dangerous thing you can do while driving is not paying attention. I am more careful when I have passngers and I include additional weight that alters the way car drives into consideration. I drive with reasonable speed. I don't try to take a hair-pin curve at 60mph or yak on cellphone while driving.

Only with the lights and sirens on, then I may be coming at you in your lane to avoid the dumb$h|t$ that don't pull over to the right for me.

You can also see me jump medians, drive on the curb, pass on the right, exceed the speed limit, wrong way, cross double yellow lines, run red lights (slowly), etc. :D

Apparently I'm a safe driver compared to Massachusets drivers. Was driving back from Boston last night was starting to snow (salt on the road was keeping it from sticking too much yet), I was driving my usual 74 and was getting passed like I was standing still. They are crazy!

i tend to drive more safely but that doesn't mean it's very safe. It ussually depends who it is, some are more distracting than others

I never drive dangerously with other people in the car. But, it pi$$es me off when I am a passenger and the driver doesn't give me the same consideration! I believe that if you want to take your own safety for granted go right a head. But if I am your passenger and you don't take my safety into consideration and you get us into an accident through your own carelessness - If I am not dead when the car stops rolling you will wish I was.:|

If I feel like driving all crazy like I will do it when I am alone on a lony streach of road where the only fatality will be mine. I will not take anyone with me.

I must admit I have done some crazy stuff, but I have had some classes in driving, so I can usually control my truck. I have only once exceded the limits of a vehicle, and that was an experimet with no one else on the road. ( I pulled half on the shoulder then stomped on the brakes. Nice instant left turn :) )
