I usually do not drink anything while I'm eating. If I go out to eat I might order a nice beer though. True Story.

I drink water all day but when I comes time to eat, I usually wont drink anything until I am done. Every once and awhile when I go out to eat Ill get a soda but I usually will finish it off before my food gets to me and then its water.

Not all. If it's dinner, around 5 oz red wine unless I'm going to do something that I figure requires my being sober (that includes driving a car).

Always, usually water. I always have a liter mug with water in it. I even bought an extra one to take to work.

Most often I eat my meal and drink afterwards. Sometimes I drink while eating but rarely.

Same here, I'll pour myself a glass of water as I'm sitting down to eat and after I'm done I'll realize I've barely touched it. Then I drink it after.

Diet Mt.Dew or Diet Coke with almost every meal.
I really need to break that habit...

I am addicted to the caffeine and carbonation.

Water or unsweetened tea.

Genuine question for the people who drink alcohol out regularly. Do you always make someone else drive? Do you not drink a lot and therefore think your alright to drive home? How does this work.

It is said the body can absorb one glass of wine/alcohol per hour. Having a full stomach increases the body's ability to absorb alcohol. Especially greasy/fatty/starchy foods. Drinking water helps greatly.

When sitting down to eat a good meal for one hour. A person can easily drink about 2 glasses of wine and have low enough blood/alcohol levels afterward. A bigger person, eating more food, sitting for 1.5-2 hours can drink half a bottle of wine and be fit enough to safely drive home. Especially, if a few glasses of water have been drunk within the 20-30 minutes before leaving.

Typically, I can drink 2-3 glasses of wine during a meal, drink 3 glasses of water, and be good to go. 3 glasses of wine is pushing it for me, though, and I only drink 3 when sitting for longer than one hour.

There are some times when 2 glasses provides a stronger than normal buzz. Then I stay longer, drink more water, and nibble more food. I do not drive until that buzz feeling is gone.

Water. Besides a small glass of OJ in the morning and a cup of hot green tea at night, water is the only thing I drink.

I think adults who drink milk at dinner were over coddled as children.

Water 99% of the time here.
