Do you drink out of the glasses in your hotel room?

meh, i always wash mine myself when i get there. anyways I'm sure the alcohol i put in the cup kills any germs that might be left.

umm i dunno but i don't think you are supposed to drink the liquid soap that you wash your cups with at home, and i am not scared to drink out of them after i wash my cups.

time to get scared again over nothing!
my wife still washes off the tops of soda cans because she thinks rats may have pooped on them.

Glasses? Hotels?

The only cups in the hotels I stay in have plastic wrap on them. They're also either made out of paper or cheap plastic.

Yuck. And to think I was just making fun of our hotel last weekend having shrink-wrapped plastic cups instead of glasses - now I will insist on the plastic cups!

No I do not. I buy drinks from gas stations, and if I was driving long distances I get a jug of water in the car with me. Its just a habit I think.

Yes, but the only hotel I stay at clean the glasses. Even then I usually just buy a bottle of water while I'm out.

OMG I've stayed at that hotel! 🙁

I don't even remember if I drank out of the glasses.

Am I gonna die now?

After being a medic for too long, I have to admit that I've become a bit of a germaphobe. Years and years of disease transmission classes and knowing what it takes to kill some germs/viruses, they scare me. Some are very strong and live for a LONG time outside the body, while others last minutes.

Didn't you love the way the disease specialist kept saying "the?"
The herpes.
The hepatitis.
😉

And some are becoming stronger thanks to Germ-X and the like.

Me too. It takes a few seconds to rinse them out, and despite popular belief, tap water wont kill you.

I have the George Carlin attitude towards germs: If people took in a little once in a while, their immune system wouldnt be weak and maybe a hotel glass or a public drinking fountain wouldnt kill them.

haha, you people who are freaking out should see what goes on in the restaurants where you eat.

I would recommend against eating the lobster bisque or the cream of mushroom soup.
