Wow, haven't thought of that site in a decade at least. I used it around Y2K as I navigating the cheapest ways to get low-cost internet.

Anyone here remember FreeDSL? I actually had it for a while.

DSL was always going to be a loser since baud rate drops with distance from the hub.

I used a DSL connection for a few years before cable modems became an option for me.

Reminds me of a security site from back then. It was the dudes name. Either he led me to DSL Reports or they led me to him. Trying to remember. Not McAfee.

Yeah the owner was basically MIA, many of the diagnostic pages weren't working, then they were semi-functional, mostly not since a couple of months ago.

Here's a replacement that someone set up, but it's obviously not very popular yet.
