I stopped after that.

Yeah I was like WTF? Don't remember that in public school......but got a 74%. Thanks to public school. :p
Most of us went to a public school and we all aced this test. What's so difficult about understanding "immaculate conception"? Even if you didn't understand the meaning behind it, I can't see how the answer would be a man.
Conception. Conceived. Same root word. The mother is not conceived, the baby is. There is no way the answer can be Mary.

Bingo. I can't believe that people can't figure that one out. But then again, we now have a Democrat controlled congress. I guess its not a surprise.

Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary - Cite This Source
Main Entry: con·cep·tion
Pronunciation: k&n-'sep-sh&n
Function: noun
1 a : the process of becoming pregnant involving fertilization or implantation or both b : EMBRYO, FETUS
2 a : the capacity, function, or process of forming or understanding ideas or abstractions or their symbols b : a general idea

Conceived also means to become pregnant, so yes they are the same, but not in the way you think they are.

97% and I missed Iran, which I should have realized from the "obviousness" of it, that I was wrong :)

I suck at grammar and Literature. I've never heard of two of those Shakepeare plays.

I got the Columbus question wrong, according to the quiz. Too bad the quiz is wrong.

Columbus did not make landfall on the continent of North America in 1492. . .

That's not what the question asks. It asks if he made it to North America. All the islands he visited are part of North America and therefore the answer should be "true".

North America is a continent. The rest are islands. They are in the northern hemisphere - but not part of the North American landmass.

Then England and Ireland are not part of Europe??? Interesting

I scored an 86%, BUT........

I can tell you without a doubt that:
1. I never learned anything artistic, like wtf cubism is.......that is a bit beyond the 8th grade art class, which is BEFORE high school, and the last time I took art class
2. I never was forced to do Shakespeare, so had to do a WAG for the question concerning his plays
3. I never paid enough attention in English class to know wtf a dangling modifier is, let alone what one looks like.......though I did well enough that I always rocked when it came time to BS another essay question in a test!!

I figure those are the questions I missed........so to them, I score 86%.......to me, it's an ACE. ;)

This is a bit amusing: if you miss one question, you get a 97% score. Depending on whether they give you credit for knowing your age and sex, there are between 19 and 21 questions. How in the world can you get 97% right with that number of questions?!?

Cheers.
