Hey old timers,

AGN made every day Christmas for me. on days i didnt have packages on my doorstep i would heave a deep sigh.

i remember those page refreshe races, i know i beat golf a couple times. hehe.

made lots of friends, most are still around. some are elsewhere, lets see: airman, rage, nafets, azim... is this a reunion thread?

memories: 300@450 with just a heatsink sandwich, $10/gig for harddrives, ram shooting up to $200/128 mb stick, 3 trips a week to the post office, they still remember me by name...

good times.

Another old AGN'er checking in. I joined right during the big Vortex2/SB Live flame war ('97?), fun times indeed. I wish it were still alive and kicking.

hmmmm
I lurked AGN for a brief time before ever coming here, I'm thinking early 99, maybe even back into 98.

I was just about to try an attempt at building my first machine, and was trying to gather all I could on what to use, and where to get it.

Also watched ArsTechnica.

Anyone else remember Hardware.pairnet?

That's where I learned about this place's HotDeals.

I consider myself an old AGNer, I think it was that day that I turned 30 years old that made me feel even sader. I admit on some days of my life that I miss playing with hardware down in the basement of the house that I had. I miss searching and calling and traveling to get the news and pictures that helped to remember something better. I think pictures are one of the most important parts of our lives, because it delivers something to our minds to remember. That is the best thing about Anandtech, the comments, the volume, the reviews, the news and a website which carries plenty of pictures about what is being reviewed. I think Anand is great... But on the gaming sides of life, yes AGN3d... especially getting a good sized check every other week in my checking account ?º ohhh I miss it ?º

Another person that you need to know is Jason, his is the guy that put together AGN3d and put together anandtech and this message area and much more! He is the one that needs to be awarded for the skills that he carries in his mind, I just wish that my mind worked at well as Jason. Jason if you are reading, please send me of a piece of your brain, mine is still lacking ?º Well maybe if my mind gets healed more in the future, I will get smarter, still not as much as Jason and Anand.

Well enough from me for now, you can always check out http://www.theallfords.com for pictures and information on me. I look better in the Nude Photos Now that I have been Skinnier =) Well actually it includes lots of pictures of my family.

Enough for now,
Jeremy

Looking above... heya Jeremy. Yeah, I loved that place. I even psuedo worked there for awhile (pardon the pun, for those that know). I ended up doind like 3 or 4 reviews and posted some news a few times for Jeremy. Do you remember recruiting my old website for hosting (www.mythology.com, www.mythnews.com - a Myth: The Fallen Lords fansite) ???

Yeah, those were the days. I think AGN really propelled a lot of the things we see today as standard fare. I should mention also, it was Operation 3dfx originally, and I think Jeremy and Sander had a fallout or something to that effect. Operation 3dfx was THE major gaming news site, way back when VE was little time.

Anyhow, heya all!
