They're a country that does little of value for the US, and has helped create a hassle with the Muslims. We'd be better off if we pretended they didn't exist. Same with the rest of the middle east.

I consider it the other way around. They don't really do jack shit for the US, if they were a puppet they'd be more useful. But we spend an awful lot of money and energy keeping them safe, so it's fair to ask who is using who.

As for the original question, yeah, I think they are, for the most part, moral. They're surrounded by enemies that have made no secret of their desire to wipe Israel off the map and those enemies have tried it on several occasions. Israel has to get a little rough from time to time and they seem to at least make an attempt to minimize the bloodshed.
 
Near as I can tell the Arabs have had 65 years to get used to the idea.
I realize it took a 100 years for slavery to go from the US Civil War to civil rights, but still.
Israel is the target of many Moslem hate groups, financed from all over the world. Started as a Cold War pressure point and Oil Dollars diversion.
Without Israel, there would be much more direct at USA hate.

Fundamentally Israelis have nowhere to go. Moslems have to decide on peaceful coexistence, ie denying terrorist support, or be treated as such.
 
Let's just say I used to believe the propaganda put out by Israel.

Now, all I know is 200+ dead Palestinians (dozens of kids, but probably a bunch of legitimate targets too) vs. a dozen-ish (or less?) dead Israelis.

They are now increasingly aligning themselves with the Russians while ceasing any loyalty to the Americans. And we supported all the way until their oppressive policies started to become way too much. Even though we still support them as a state they are showing some of their true colors by turning their backs on us. They do not want support for their peace and existence they want support for their oppressive soft genocide and their negative character. In essence they do not want to be the flock of sheep under the care of god but lions who use god for themselves.

This is not all Israelites most certainly but a large swath of the population is like that. Reading up about this some days ago I realized that Ariel Sharon was probably a good president for Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu and the right wing fundamentalists are fucking everything up in the near east. Until we fix this everything is probably going to get worse over the long run.
 
I consider them one of the better countries in the world. They are definitely the best in that region of the world.

mostly because i cant exactly say they are "evil."

i may not agree with how things are working in Israel at the moment..


the apartheid apart, Israel itself is a fine country, some say "the land of milk and honey"

War is never fair.....especially when you have a people like the Palestinians who allow Hamas to tunnel under their homes......to hide munition in their homes.....to use the Palestinians as human shields...need I say more...
