Do you consider homosexuality to be a problem that the government needs to address?

Answer truthfully now. 😀

Seriously, I was thinking about this after that thread on that nutball congresswoman from Oklahoma or where ever the fuck she was from.

Personally, I think politicians should shut the hell up about religion and sexuality. Too often they end up sticking their jackbooted foot in their pie hole anyway either by words or by their actions (tapping foot in the mens room at an airport for example). Homosexuality is not a problem anyone needs to address...especially not our government.

The useful points of the topic have been covered. The thread has degenerated into name calling and such. So we'll end this for now. Thank you.

Government should remove itself 100% from issues of personal morality, since it's wholly subjective and absolutely NOT the governments area. Drug use, sexuality, religion, etc...the government should NEVER have ANYTHING to do with ANY of it.

First pole - voted for the first no out of laziness
Second pole - worked up the ambition to click on no

as in what people do in their own homes or as in how it should affect any benefits they get for being married, etc?

Does the government address Down Syndrome?

😕

Now 6% of the world has down syndrome (DS) yet 8-10% of the world is gay. (Stats I got from other sites so i don;t know how true they are).

Why is it that gays get more bs from republicans, religious, and other nut jobs yet those with DS get a pass?

I think gays should be allowed to marry. But the question isn't about that specifically...although, I suppose it could be. No, this was inspired by this thread.

I get annoyed at the whole democrats (liberals) v. republicans (conservatives) setup in our country. I want to vote for "freedom 'n' fewer laws" and neither the left-wing wackos nor the right-wing nutjobs like freedom. So I end up voting for some minor party and waste my vote. Dangnabbit.

My poll vote should be obvious from the above.

Because you don't choose to have down syndrome and you do choose whether or not to have gay sex maybe...

also the government does adress Downs, if you have it you get disability benefits from the government.

One problem with this is that things such as [straight / gay] marriage (and everything attached to marriages, such as tax benefits) are tied to government.

I still don't understand what the people entrenched in the war against homos have at stake in the fight.
