Do you clean your mouse every few months or so?

My dual optical logitech is probably the longest I have had a mouse...it's excellent and I don't see a need to upgrade.

I don't really eat messy around my desk, but I have three cats.

Anyway my mouse wheel slowly stopped working over the course of a month, so I took it apart.

The wheel has little spokes that go against a sensor, it was stuffed with kitty hair :).

popped out the wheel and washed it in the sink...mouse works better than evar!

There are a couple springs and things you need to keep track of when you open it up.

Hahha, cat hair, the bane of computers and peripherals. I normally clean the kitty hair off my mouse pad before I use it, so I don't have any problems.
