Do you clean the top of soda cans before you drink? Poll Inside.

I've been doing this all my life. then recently i heard that stupid urban legend, but still i clean the top of soda cans before i drink, anyone else?

I buy the ones that come inside a cardboard box, so no. But at a gas station or something, yeah I would.

I really don't like canned Coke but when I do get one I definitely clean off the top. One look at the junk on a white paper towel after cleaning is enough to convince most people.

Actually, it's my after sex face.

I don't drink much soda anymore.

FYI, the cans that come out of a machine come straight from a 12 pack into the machine. And from the factory, they come right off the line into 12 packs, so basically the only thing that could be on the can was the germs from the persons hands taking the cans out of the 12 packs and putting them into the machine...

so how do you guys exactly clean it, wipe it using your shirt?
if you do that, you are just smearing the crap all around.

I usually wipe it off with a paper towel. and no it's not just being smeared around, you can definitely see the black dust on the paper towel.

if i were really paranoid i would carry around antiseptic wipes.
