Do you buy gifts only to open them up and start using them as soon as you get home? Can you imagine buying a new big screen tv and setting the box by your tree and waiting for Christmas morning?

Why wait for Christmas day to open a present to yourself when you already know what it is.
I don't just gift gifts during someones birthday or Christmas, to me 365/366 days of the year is gift giving time.

Cheat? If you buy yourself something...it's not a gift. It's just a purchase.
Even though "I" bought a pile of computer parts for a new build, my wife has insisted that I wait for Christmas to open the boxes and start the "construction." I don't like that...but I will obey.
However, "she" bought herself a pile of clothes...and I'm insisting that she not open them until Christmas either...she DEFINITELY doesn't like that...
But, she has a birthday before Christmas...so I MIGHT let her have one or two things from the pile...maybe.
