Do you capitalize the "i" in internet?

No, but I would  to stick a needle in one of yours!

Yeah, Yeah, I woke up grumpy

Good Morning ATOT

i have been required to capitalize the 'i' of internet when writing legal reports. however, i'm not a shift-key (or caps lock) kind of person, so in regular correspondence, i do not capitalize it. in professional correspondence, however, i capitalize everything that requires capitalization.

I guess that was my question, in professional corespondence should it be capatilized?

When in doubt, fire up MS Word, make sure spelling and grammar check is turned on and then type a sentence using the word in question and see if it flags it. In this case, Internet will be flagged if not capitalized because it's a proper noun.

As I learned it, you are supposed to. So I do it when I'm not being lazy.

EDIT>> I guess you never were supposed to... so much for sticking with things in school...
