Do you buy TVs online?

Is it cheaper to just buy at a local store or is there a good "NewEgg" type website for TVs and other home entertainment electronics?

Q: Do you buy TVs online?
A: Not anymore.

A: No, it's cheaper to buy local especially at CostCo/Sam's Club. Check your local Best Buy and Circuit City for open box and clearance deals. If you have a time machine, go back in time 2-4 years and you could score some outrageous deals on TV's from 800.com.

I'm not sure what your budget is but two recent deals were:
Toshiba 27" for $369 at BB
Panasonic Tau 32" for $499 at CC

Yes, I bought my Sony HD projection tv and my Panasonic progressive scan DVD player from Abt Electronics

They are a very trustworthy outfit and offer very good prices. And no sales tax in most states. And usually free shipping. And they will work with you (i.e. if there is an item you want that is not on their web site, they will try to get it and quote you a price).

I have been EXTREMELY happy with these guys.

Thanks for the information. After seeing some prices online I feel my best deal will be at Sams/Costco.

Plus you can't beat CostCo's very liberal return policy (except for computers are limited to 6 months).
