I entered "no" in the poll, but to be honest.............

My wife's company will occasionally do "group" buys when the pot gets big enough.......($100M or more) and I have done that before.

I buy scratch-offs every now and then.

We have a lotto pool at work and we throw in $2 a piece each week.

It's really not that much money and it's fun when you do win something even if it doesn't cover what you lost in the past.

Yes, I play the equivalent of 2 six packs a week. I've won about $2500 over the last 5 years.

Yes. I buy one ticket at a time, on a regular basis, and consider it an entertainment expense. For a short amount of time, I can fantasize about winning. Occasionally i win a few bucks. I figure I'm pretty close to even.

My department won two weeks ago. 2 million between 11 of them, 168K for each person. $2/week.

One of those winners' mom's actually won money for life, she won $600K.
In Ontario, all the money is TAX FREE, so her family made $700K in two weeks.

Yes, they have had calls. They are smart people, one of the winners is a ChemE.

Me too. I love reading follow up stories about Lotto winners. Some lose it all very quickly, while others are smart.

You'd be amazed how people will FIND YOU and ask for money if you allow the papers to publish your name.

A few bucks when the jackpot hits over $40 million on CA Super Lotto and $175 million on Mega Millions.

I've heard the odds of you getting killed buying the tickets is better than the actual odds of winning the lotto.
