I was browsing Ebay this morning checking out prices for a few parts and I'm tempted to pull the trigger on a few things. Anyone else here routinely shop on Ebay for PC parts? Have you ever got burned on something before?

I'd check the person's feedback rating and only buy if they have 99.7% or higher with at least 100 transactions.

I've purchased a few things from eBay, including a high end CPU, and have had no problems. Like previous poster said, make sure they have good feedback. Don't just look at the number, but research a bit and try get an idea of what type of seller they are. A lot of people rack up high feedback as buyers, but you want to make sure they are trustworthy sellers.

I have made some serious E-Bay purchases - a Canon lens for over $900. That was with a bit of trepidation. But, vet the seller thoroughly. The downside is that it does expose you to all sorts of post-purchase spam and malware. But - so does this forum. :)
