Do you buy games (PC, PS2, Xbox, GC) that you end up never playing?

I am a rabid game player and fan. You probably know the type, a collection that needs several DVD stands to fill and sort. Thing is, there are games that I buy or trade for that I never seem to have time to play. Do you have the same problem? Boo - hoo right?
 
Yes, I bought Harvest Moon for PS2 last year. Still in shrink wrap. I open all the CDs and DVDs I purchase the moment I exit the store or open the box.
 
I usually just buy EA sports titles for my PS2 and only really play when I have friends to play against. Last computer game I bought was Half-Life hehe that was around 5-6 years ago. I got hooked on Counter Strike and haven't really played anything else on PC.
 
I have a couple games that I've played once and never played again. usually because either the game was bad/not worth playing or an even better game that I had been looking foward to came out soon after, thus causing me to stop playing the original game, start playing the new game, and then totally forgetting about the old game until I've already lost all interest in it.

I gotta start selling some of them on ebay or something 🙁
 
No, not really. There are a few (Myst, Freespace, and Abomination) which I only played for a short amount of time, but I still played them none the less.
 
Yes, especially when I got a DC and could get games for $5-$10. I have DC games I have never touched after 4 years!

The big problem is that if I start one adventure/RPG, I am hesitant to start another until I finish the first.
 
i normally play the games i buy but when i go to toronto chinatown and buy up lots of cheap chinese dvds, i never get around to watching them all

i still have at least 5-10 chinese comedies i want to get around watching
 
Not so much with the games since I rarely buy any, but I do that a lot with DVD's I still have some from over a year ago that haven't even been opened yet and many more that I've never watched after buying them.

But I did buy Halo 2 and just haven't spent any time playing at all, I played it maybe 2 times since I got it, been meaning to get back into it just haven't really had the time.
 
Oh yeah, tons of games.....GTA:SA, Halo 2, TOCA 2, HL2, CS:S and really want to play them. Just don't have the time to play them when I get home, and when I finally do have the itme, I would rather just chill with some music and inet browsing.

I try not to.. but some games are too tempting...

and all I play is.. counter strike and starcraft:brood 😛

go figure...

i dont even know why I upgrade my computer..
 
I bought Metal Gear Solid 3 when it first came out, played it once. It sucked so much. I loved MGS2 and MGS1.
 
=sigh= I really need a 6 month vacation from work to catch up on my shelf of unplayed PC games, plus I have FF7,8,10 for the PS.
