Did a search. I don't think this is a repost. Just wondering how many of you block ads.

Adblock FTW. Probably the only reason why I use FF.. and the fact that I can condense my bookmarks into the menu bar at the top.

I have an old computer so I block everything and also that way you can have hotmail ad free since their ads are over kill .

But i don't block ads from sites like anandtech and site that I wish to support and they don't spam you with ads alll over.

I'm the same. Only if a site goes so horribly overboard with ads will I block some of them.

I use it when the ads become irritating and or when I'm on my laptop, running off of battery power... I mean, why should MY battery life suffer because ****** thought that I'd care about getting a free crap pod?

this thread reminded me to re-enable my adblock (had it disabled for the speed test earlier in the evening)

Only if the ads unnecesarily take up space, are annoying (Flash), or there's just too friggin many of them.

i voted no, i used to block them via my firewall, Kerio has a webfiltering option in the full version, it used to work great, but then it started blocking site liek AT randomally, i think it was browser updates that it didnt work properly with
i then used opera add filter for a while, and it worked to a certian extent but wouldent block flash, it also had some random issue IIRC, so i stopped,
now i dont and it doesnt bother me

Well...at work some of them are blocked, for us... :) lol

At home I just stop the pop-ups.

Really the only ads (other than pop-ups) that bother me are the flashing banners.

Most everything else I can ignore.

Kerio ad blocking
Firefox AdBlock+ Plus blocking

I had to use a regular IE browser on WindowsME and it reminded me how much I would hate the internet if I didn't have it on.
