Do you blame the cancelation of Sam & Max 2 on President Bush?

i do!

i was really looking forward to that game. lucas will make 100s of crappy star wars titles a week but they cant make a good adventure game once in a while no more?!?!

I'm glad it's cancelled. Saves the world from another crappy "adventure" game.

i demand satisfaction!
i challenge you to a duel...adventure game style.

im not sure what that would be...but it would be hard. like getting the babel fish hard.

damn. I hadn't known. I imagine the cancelation had more to do with $$ than with anything else - Advenutre Games don't sell nearly as well as they did back in the good ol' days. But you license a nice game engine, slap on some eye candy, don't even bother with a plot, and you've got a product that will bring in revenue.

Well, you'd certainly win because I don't know a thing about getting a babel fish hard...

Don't even know what it is.

It -was- a classic adventure game back in the day (~'93). Hilarious. They recently decided to create a sequel, and it got canceled, for better or for worse.

Those Lucasarts games were cool. I think they might not be as popular as some other new games, but they definitely have a following. Are there any adventure games worth playing now (besides playing the old ones again)? I even thought Monkey Island 4 and Grim Fandango were good...

I've heard great things about Syberia, and The Longest Journey. They're not comedic like Grim, S&M, or the MI series. From what I've heard, the rumored Full Throttle 2 was also canceled.

The comedic aspect was the best part. I just liked the feel of MI4 and Grim Fandango.

Hmm.. Grim should be cheap now.. I needa start lookin at bargain bins.. if they are even in bargain bins anymore.

Hey look, Deus Ex: Invisible War. 😛

(Actually it did have a plot. Just a really, really bad one)
