It seems like an unlikely event to me but hell how would I know?

Yep, and that is why I selected the I Have No Friggin Idea option. Logically, without evidence, I cannot determine or hypothesize whether something is an event or non-event.

I find it funny that their are THOUSANDS of reported sightings but not one person has ever managed to snap a decent picture.

Yes, and I saw it! Try explaining this.

I was 11 at the time. LA has been spraying insecticides from the air for a day now, but since when do they do this at night? And with slow moving, low-flying blimps!? Well at least that's what it looked like to me at the time.
At about 9pm, I look out my parent's master bedroom window and see some low flying lights. Green, red, white blinking lights, moving slowly across the sky. It looked oddly low for a flying craft and it was making no noise. I couldn't make out the shape, but the lights were close enough together to appear that it came from one craft.
A blimp I thought? But it was waaay to big.
Planes moving slowly? To close, and too slow to be a plane.
Helicopters flying in formation? I didn't hear the corresponding helicopter noise.

I couldn't explain it.

Well the Mormon church sure does. They claim that 2 aliens from the planet Kalob came to earth and installed everything here for there playtoy. They went back to the planet Kalob where they watch the earth from the 3 lakes, the lake of the past, the lake of the present and the lake of the future.Sounds hard to beleive but that is what they teach, but so stramge that most mormons will not admit to this belief.

That is so messed up. I'm Mormon and we don't believe that. Kolob is mentioned as the planet closest to the residence of God in the Book of Abraham. The Book of Abraham was translated from papyri that were exhumed by Antonio Lebolo on the west bank of the Nile River opposite the ancient city of Thebes in about 1820.

Surely not, simply for economic reasons. If those ETs are advanced enough to visit other stars (us) and they are only studying us without interfering, they surely are advanced enough to have cheaper means to do that than to take the risk and travel for years and years (Assumuning Einstein is right which he is by our science) through space possibly taking several generations to reach us. And all that just to study us in person - I think not...

When they are here there can be one reason only - the one we wouldn't like....
