Truth is not as easy as digital 1 or 0 or white or black.

Perception of reality is the key here. Your perception is not the same as anyone else.
So your truth is your own and can only be claimed as your own and not by anyone else.

In essence, that is true(lol) or more accurately how we use the term. It is something one holds as True, although in reality it may not be True. However, it seems that in our shared reality there are certain things that are True regardless of our perceptions. Whether we perceive the full scope of those things or not is another question. We certainly know that we haven't perceived some of them in the past, but may not fully perceive them in the present either. Despite all this, I don't really like the concept of Truth, because it presupposes a conclusion that often times is not True or is incomplete and undeserving of being called Truth.

MAYBE it comes down to that individual consciousness is an illusion?

Think about it. Every human, every being assumes that their consciousness, that feeling of "I am" is unique to them. We assume that anyone else has this same feeling of "I am", therefore we say that every human has an individual consciousness/mind.

What if this is an illusion? What if the "I am" feeling of you, me and anyone else is actually *the same*...if all that is in fact only one consciousness but in some way split amongst living organisms so that the feeling of individuality is only an illusion?

From that point of view we could say it's an "universal mind" - the fact that this mind is split into billions of "sub-minds" is actually not relevant.

I think this is an intriguing idea to look at it that way...
