Do you believe in miracles? Has one ever happened to you?

I have only experienced a small miracle, nothing big or life chaging. I once got an 85 on a math test, which I knew I had failed totally, and was expecting in the low 20's. It was the final exam, so I never bothered to get my test back. The teacher just posted the test grades outside his office, before he left for vacation.
This teacher gave no curves, no bonuses, no nothing. He didn't even know who I was, just another name in the roster. I don't know how he made that error, because there is no way I could have made more than a 20. I left most of the questions blank, and didn't even know how to start on most of them.
Whatever it was, it was really a miracle.

nothing has happened to me but one guy at a church i went to once had a massive bank error in his favor and instead of calling the bank to correct it decided that his prayers had been answered so he made a sermon on it.

I had one once, and it was a pretty big deal to me anyway. It was 2 years ago, as a sophomore in college. Housing time was coming up, and my roommate from freshman year didn't make the cut, as with my current roomie, and I wanted a single anyway. On top of all of it, my grandmother was very ill, and we had no idea how long she'd last.

One day I was in the library, and 2 girls were sitting there asking if either my friend or I were going to live on campus next year (I was she wasn't) and if we had people to live with (me=no) We have townhouses here, and you can only go into them in 1, 2s or 4s, no 3s b/c then you would gang up on the 1 left (4 rooms per floor) And they had 3 and their 4 missed the cut as well. So I told them I would go in on it with them, since she had numbre 1 in the lottery :)

I get back to my room all happy, and find out that my grandmother had passed away that morning. And her funeral was going to be the day I was supposed to sign up for my room, and if it hadn't been for going in with the girls, i would have been out housing that next year, or left with leftovers.

To this day I swear my grandmother knew, and took care of me so I could go to her funeral. It's corny, but I think of her as my guardian angel now, and I wear a necklace with a link from a braclet of hers for good luck.

I think my brother being alive is sometimes a miracle. He's got a ridge or ledge or something in his throat. He's choked I dunno how many times because that thing causes food to lodge.

Not sold on the whole miracle thing. I believe that seemingly miraculous happenings, like your "experince", are very dependent on perspective. If there is a higher power I doubt it would go to such lengths as it seems to do to be so mysterious, and then pull off a miracle every now and then just to mess with us. Most "miracles" are just statistical anomalies. Your teacher had to make a mistake some time because that's just the way things are. Your number came up at just the right time, and bingo, you pass the course and go on to be a billionaire, where otherwise you would end up a Whopper Flopper or in some van down by a river. Miraculous to you, a typo to everyone else.

Ditto but I can explain why it's a miracle. I had a pretty traumatic birth. I was a placenta praviea (sp?) birth, which now would be noticed by ultrasound but then wasn't apparent. Basically the placenta forms over the only way a baby will naturally go out of the uterus, which causes a severe problem. If my mother went into labor naturally both me and her would die (placenta would rupture, she would bleed to death very quickly and I would have died from lack of oxygen).

Because of a freak thing she was at the hospital for a normal check up for just being pregnant far before I was due, a couple weeks before. Well, boom, she had a contraction and pop goes the placenta. Even then we shouldn't have survived (I had a better chance then making it then her but was supposed to have brain damage) because of the time between it happening, figuring it out, and doing an emergency c-section. My bishop was actually a doctor there (I'm LDS, we don't have paid clergy and he happened to be a doctor, nice coincedence) and gave my mother a blessing as they went into surgery (while the doctor that was going to do the surgery told my mom that if they lost my heartbeat they were going to go in without anesthetic). They're not quite sure why, but mom didn't bleed to death, and I have no nerve damage though I should have gotten it. Honestly, I should not be who I am, and that's a miracle that I've been able to live my life as I have. I really need to be more thankful for it...

Yes... I've experienced many, although you might call them meaningful coincidences or synchronicity.

There are some very good books on the subject. I like There Are No Accidents but there are many others that are good.

A miracle can be as simple as having a dream about someone who has passed on, who gives you information in the dream that A) you have no access to and B) turns out to be true. Happens to me fairly regularly. My husband says sometimes I make the hair on his neck stand up with my little messages, but to me it is all just part of the biggest miracle of all--- Love.

summer before high school started I was up all night on the computer for some weird reason. I usually went to bed at 10, but I wasn't tired at all. I saw the light in the other room go out and I walked into that room. This was around 6 A.M. All of a sudden the power in the computer room went out. I was also on the phone and I told my friend to wait while I went to check what was happening. I saw light smoke and I didnt really think much of it just thought my mom was making some breakfast. I went and look all over the house really quickly but I didnt see anything.

Thought it would be a good idea to wake up my parents so I went to their bedroom to wake them up. They got up and the ceiling collapsed on their bed with fire all over and I got my brother and we ran outside.

Oooooooo

I absolutely without doubt believe there are miracles going on all the time, if we would only see them.

My father being cured of colon cancer after having symptoms for three years (but not saying anything about it) is just one that comes to mind.

When I was 12 or 13, I was out in my yard playing with my remote controlled car after a big storm. I was driving it around near my dog and, although it piqued her interest, she wasnt bothered by it. After a few minutes, she started barking at the car and all of the sudden it just stopped working. I was standing about 15 feet away from the car, and as I walked over to see what was wrong with it, a huge branch fell out of the tree I was standing under, and it landed exactly where I had been standing. Right after the branch fell, the car started working fine again. From that day on, I have considered my dog my guardian.

Sure. Why not? It's your miracle, you can make it turn out however you want. What kind of miracle would it be if your life still sucked after it was over?;)

I don't believe in miracles, but I would be quite freaked out if that happened to me. I could maybe try to explain to myself that the dog could hear the branch breaking and was trying to warn you, but as for the RC car stopping... weird man
