Do you believe in God?

I am a pantheist, which makes it somewhat difficult to answer the question. I answered "no" because I don't believe in what most people mean when they say "God," and from the considerable experience that I have debating religion online, I know that from others' perspectives I am not much different than an atheist.

Perhaps there should be an "undecided" button. Some might say that's a "no", but I'd say, no, that's not a "no, I don't believe in God", it's "I haven't quite made up my mind".

It would cloud the nice little polarity seen with "yes/no", but IMO better reflect the opinions.

I take all these "yes", "no", "undecided" opinions with a grain of salt; the "yes, indeed!" learned on ma & pa's laps and the local church by convention could easily turn into a "no, for I was forsaken when I was in need though I had faith". And the "no, I'm doing quite fine by myself thank you", can easily turn into "God I have need, please help me". And I unbelieve in the "yes", "no", "undecided" being barriers among ourselves, though I have no wish to join in most "yes" or "no" congregations, nor "undecided" for that matter, and recognize that self-imposed barriers will exist.

absolutely. i kinda didn't when i was younger, but then i experienced something that made it obvious that he's there.

While I acknowledge the possibility that God (or some kind of "higher power", singular or plural) may exist, I do not go out of my way to believe in such a thing.

when i was a little kid i just kinda went along with it...

then i read other people's opinions, and it got me thinking....how in the flying fvck is a fairy in the sky possible?

so no.

Yeah? Well, Luke 2:4-7 states that a nonbeliever would mock the LORD on an internet messaging board.

No for me... But to each his own... IMHO, any religion that asks for money, probably ain't the right one! (Does the creator of the universe really need your money?)

I was talking with Steak last night and he wanted me to give this message unto the world:

"Lo, I will be with thee always and my Love for you is Eternal. Sacrifice thine cattle unto me, so that you may know my presence!"

No, but I believe in the tooth fairy. Not that I have any real reason to believe a tooth fairy exists, but I've been told it's true, so failing to come to a rational conclusion on my own, well you know 🙂
