I would find it very hard to believe in ghosts if I had not had my house haunted, and I'm not talking otherwise explainable stuff. Long story, but when I was about 4 I told my parents about the boy living in our house. The TV would be randomly turned off in the middle of watching it, my dad would turn it back on with the remote, and it would go off 3 seconds later and this would continue until they left the room, ordinary objects like toys disappearing for hours only to be placed back in their normal spot, our front door shut and deadbolted while we were outside one time (the door was previously open) and other weird occurances. I discribed the boy to my parents as being my age, and described what he looked like as best I could, turned out like a week back a boy like the one I had been describing had been killed in a hit and run 3 blocks from my house.

That was probably due to faulty electric lines running throughout the house.

Yes, damn those faulty electric lines for hiding toys and locking doors!

Well all of a sudden it felt like someone grabbed my upper arm, and I stopped and turned around. I head a voice say "Stop doing that." Which I took to mean 'stop wasting your food.' But the the hand was still on my arm, so I said "Okay" and the hand let go. Strange huh?

This is actually called being schitzophrenic.

Then how do you know he's tall and old?

Wishful thinking, I say.

I guess I don't know what it looks like then exactly, but the grip on my arm wasn't from someone short or with a small hand and it sure didn't sound like a lady's voice.

Maybe if that happened every day it would be, but it has only ever happened once.

The problem never happened before, and after we had the house doused by a friend of my mom's who was supposedly a psychic, it never happened again All I know is that after she came all the problems stopped and I never claimed that I saw him again. There were no electrical changes in the house either.

Ok...When you are found dead because a ghost killed you, I'll be sure to reply again saying "ROFL my WAFFLE!"

How is a ghost going to kill anyone?

There's a story that a guy who had just lost his wife got a spell put on him by a witch. She wanted his apartment. Anyways. She got the apartment because the spell made the guy go crazy, and she was found dead. There were no physical signs of death, but she had written that she felt the presence of the angry wife...I saw it on the History Channel website...pretty freaky...

Not really. Souls are more spiritual in the sense of heaven or hell, depending on your beliefs...I don' know of a religion that claims ghost...Most have spirits going somewhere...

OK, Holy Ghost is something a little different. The whole concept of 3-in-1 really throws the idea of an actual "ghost" off. I need to go find references in the Bible to ghost....Hopefully they're all good.

I agree that the Holy Ghost is different than what this thread is discussing. I wish I could remember the exact books and passages that reference other ghosts in the Bible. If you find them, please post them.

The Holy Ghost is just the english way of saying it. In spanish and portuguese for example, they call it the Holy Spirit, or Saint Spirit, not the Holy Ghost.

Must you either count or discount everything? Do you HAVE to have a decision on everything? Don't put words in my mouth and don't think the only answers are "yes" or "no."

well, its either they exists or they don't. no in betweens.

And since you can't prove either way, I'd say that's a pretty good indication that "yes" or "no" cannot be the only answers. :)

i don't.

i think people just think these things up because they are mentally weak or they want comfort of the idea of dying.

Awwww too bad you haven't seen one, that will change your mind real fast.

He probably can't. The human mind is amazing. Mental conditioning can train people to literally not see things.
