Of course the media blew it way the fuck out of proportion, because they are generally not a public service, They do not exist to do good, most media outlets exist exclusively for profits and propaganda.

Are you claiming this with the advantage of hindsight, or can you point us to information that - in the context of the time that said information was available - made clear that ebola wouldn't continue to spiral out of control in Africa?

I'm not saying that it wasn't pretty clear that ebola would never be a serious threat to first-world countries; but that was the story line propagated by crazies, not the MSM. However, I did a LOT of reading on ebola over the course of the current epidemic, and I'm actually rather shocked that it seems to be abating in Africa.

It is exactly what the media does every time they do anything. They no longer "cover" news, they fantasize about the news and then report on their fantasies.

OP also believes the World is Flat and that the sun revolves around the earth.

If both those things were true, there would be some fascinating tidal effects. I think that would make a most excellent modeling exercise with animated output.
