Huh?? You have to move the mouse down to the bottom of the screen anyway to go to a different task bar button, so what's the big deal. You might as well have it hidden while you're not using it.

nope. Hate having to move my mouse down, wait for the thing to pop up, then click on something.

You have to wait?

On one User(WinXP desktop) I use Autohide, the Taskbar is useless 95% of the time. For a different User I use the Litestep desktop and keep the Taskbar visible. Though the WinXP tasbar is useless the Litestep taskbar is usefull having cpu/sys temps, time/date, ram useage, and even WinAmp controls in it. Another factor for me would be Mozilla's Tabbed browsing which eliminates most of the need for the Taskbar.

Alt-Tab....my mouse NEVER goes to my taskbar. Windows key for the start menu. Alt-Space for minimizing/maximizing, Tab/Shift-Tab for moving around in doument. F4 to go to a different website in IE. I don't have a mouse. :)

um, autohiding the taskbar gives me that much more screen space for IE.

When you fullscreen IE, you don't see the taskbar even if it isn't in autohide mode.

I used to use it on my laptop and my 17" monitor. But now, with my 21" monitor, I tunrned it off. At work, I have a 17" monitor, and I have auto-hide turned on.

It is extremely annoying, because it is way too easy to accidentally access. Not only that, but what's with having the top 1 pixel line?
...so I just don't bother with a taskbar :)

I tried it once but I didn't like the way it looked without it so I turned it back on. :)
